Lithosphere (:

The mountains are a big part in the lithosphere, literally. What is the tallest mountain in the world? Give the information on where it is located and what would you do if you could ever go there?

  1. Mt. Everest is the highest mountain in the world. It is located in the Himalayas in Asia, it is on the border of two cities but is stretched across 6 countries.
Mount Everest is situated at the edge of the Tibetan Plateau on the border between Nepal and Tibet. If I ever went here, I would probably be scared to death to climb it so I would probably just enjoy the area around it.

  5. Mount Everest is the tallest mountain on land. It is located in Asia. If I could ever go to Asia and see the mountain, I would just stare at it because it is so big. I would not try to climb it though because I am afraid of heights and I would be scared that pieces will fall off.

  6. Mt. Everest is 29,028 feet tall, making it the tallest mountain on Earth. On the surface, that is. If you count what's underground, then Mauna Kea is the tallest stretching 13,796 ft. above water and 19,680 ft. underwater, making it 33,476 feet tall. If I could ever go to either of these, I would either stand and stare, or want to go hiking.

  7. The tallest maountain in the world is Mt. Everest. Mount Everest is also known as Mount Chomolungma or Sagarmatha. It stands above the mean sea level at 8,848 metres or 29,029 ft. It is located in the Himalayas on the Nepal border. If I ever went there I would take lots of pictures, because I like to hike, but I dont think I would ever try to hike that big of a mountain.

  8. Mount Everest is the tallest mountain in the world! It is very tall measuring 29,029 feet above sea level. This gigantic mountain is part of the Himalayan mountain range which is located between Nepal and China. Many people have tried to climb this huge mountain; some were succesful and others were not. I think it would be an amazing opportuninty to attempt climbing this mountain. However, I would never go all the way up because I would be afraid something would go wrong.

  11. Standing 29,029 feet high, Mount Everest is the tallest mountain in the world. It's part of the Himalaya range. Even though I'm not afraid of heights, I really don't want to go 29,029 feet in the air so I'll just take pictures most likely.

  12. Mt. Everest is the tallest mountain standing at 29,093 feet high on Earth. it grows about a quarter every year, covered with snow all throughout the year. However, this particular mountain consist minerals such as limestone, marble, and even shale. If I had the opportunity to visit this mountain, I would probably take samples of the different minerals and keep them as a prized procession and began to start collecting different mineral types across the world.

  13. The world's tallest mountain is Mt. Everest, also known as Sagarmatha. At 29,193 ft, Mt. Everest is located in the Himalayas. Year-round it is covered in snow, and oxygen is needed to climb to the peak of this mountain. If I had the opportunity to climb this mountain, I would definitely take it.

  14. Standing at 33,476 feet tall from when it starts, underwater, to its tip, Mauna Kea is technically the tallest mountain in the world. Although Mt. Everest has the highest altitude it starts on the part of the lithosphere above water. Because Mauna Kea starts to form below sea level it has more room to grow.

  15. Mt. Everest is the tallest mountain in the world standing at an enormous 8,848 meters (29,029 feet). This mountain is far to large for me to scale it, but small number of people have. I would more rather stay at ground level and just look at the mountain.
